Antennae Technology Breakthrough – Spray It On

Google recently launched a new website very similar to called The idea is to bring together people from all over the world and share their innovations and ideas for making the world a better place. You’ll find an amazing mix of passion and brilliance with just a little crazy when you browse through the various videos there.

One video that caught my attention is this talk by Anthony Sutera on a product he claims to have developed that, when sprayed onto the surface of something, acts as a very strong antennae. Watch the video for yourself to get a better idea of what he’s talking about.

I LOVE this idea! If this works, I can imagine a ton of ways this would unclutter the landscape, render useless almost any visible car or tv antennae, and power all sorts of cool gadgets. There is huge potential for something like this. I say all this with great excitement for the future, but also with some skepticism. Many of the comments on the video and the buzz on the web are folks claiming to be antennae or physics wizards saying that this is a physics impossibility. I’m not sure yet how this will shake out but I have high hopes for the technology.

If you are interested in showing a little faith and giving it a try, the ChamTech site is currently listing a spray on antennae kit on their site at ChamTech Operations. No shopping cart though, you’ll have to call in to place an order. If you do get a kit, be sure and let me know how it works. I’d love to coat my roof in this stuff so my TV signal is better.
